Sire and Marcus Miller combine forces to create a fretless variant of the 5-string P7 Alder, complete with the same snug-feeling P-style body and a C-profile neck with comfortably rounded fretboard. While this is definitely a fretless model, fret-lines have been thoughtfully included for eased playability and not clarity. The build-quality of this bass ensures that nothing stands in the way of the most complex of playing techniques and even provides an extra five notes in the lower register for those crucial moments.

The P7 Alder FL: Balanced Foundation for Agile Tone

The ash body ensures an overall balanced foundation sound on which to build the distinctively agile tonality that the mid-placed split-coil and bridge mounted J-style single-coil are capable of producing. The integrated Marcus Heritage-3 preamp adds even more to this potential and can be flipped from active to passive mode at will while, when switched to the last setting, boosts the low and high-end and offers a detailed mid-range adjustment spanning 80Hz to 2kHz. Since this bass is the brain-child of Sire, tuning stability is supported by a solid bridge and open-gear machine heads.
